MARSHALL, Tx. (KTAL/KMSS) – This July City of Marshall Parks & Recreation Department is celebrating Park and Recreation Month.
A variety of activities are planned for residents of all ages and abilities, including free daily activities, programs, and special events for the young and the young at heart.
A series of exciting events is coming up, including Barks & Rec Day, mini-camps at community centers, Christmas in July, and community resource fairs.
These activities offer various opportunities aim to create community engagement and celebration for all.
“At Marshall Parks & Recreation, we believe that our work goes far beyond just providing recreational spaces. We play a pivotal role in enhancing the health and well-being of our community by ensuring equitable access to parks and programs for everyone.”
This summer they will be partnering with over 30 organizations in Marshall, Texas, and Harrison County for the month.
“Without these partnerships, this month would not be possible, ” Marina Garcia-Heredia, Parks & Recreation Director.
NRPA and the Marshall Parks & Recreation Department encourage everyone who supports parks and recreation to post why their local park and recreation professionals are important to them on social media with #BuildTogetherPlayTogether.
