
CORCORAN, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The second suspect in a homicide investigation in Corcoran has been arrested, the Corcoran Police Department announced on Friday.
Officers say they arrested Joe Garcia, 21, in the 1800 block of Dairy Avenue in Corcoran on Thursday, after a search warrant was served at a nearby home. He is the second suspect in a shooting that took the life of a man on June 12.
Law enforcement responded to the 1600 block of Claire Avenue shortly after midnight after receiving reports of a man who had been shot. Upon arrival, officers provided first aid to the man, but he was declared deceased at the scene.
Days later, on June 19, at around 9:10 p.m., police say search warrants were served for Adam Anaya in the 700 block of Miller and the 600 block of Reagan in Corcoran. During the service of the warrants, Anaya, who was the first suspect, was arrested.
The police department says both suspects are being accused of homicide and were booked into the Kings County Jail.
