Indianapolis Metropolitan police were dispatched around 3:30 p.m. Thursday to the 6400 block of Maidstone Road.
The initial run indicated police were called for a death investigation.
IMPD said officers found a woman inside a residence suffering from gunshot wounds. Medical personnel pronounced her dead at the scene.

The Marion County Coroner’s Office ruled the death a homicide and identified the deceased as 27-year-old Kamora Woods.
The case remains under investigation.
