The two people who were at the residence both appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court Monday and pled guilty to the charges against them. Twenty-eight-year-old Logan Greer was sentenced to 10 years in prison and 32-year-old Ruth Cross to 10 years-probation.

According to the probable cause affidavit the illegal substances seized included, psilocybin mushrooms, almost 10 pounds of marijuana, MDMA (Ecstasy), alprazolam pills, cocaine, smoking devices, vape cartridges, suspected THC wax, two boxes labeled Spacetime premium psilocybin chocolate bars.

Psilocybin mushrooms or “magic mushrooms” can cause a range of effects, including euphoria, altered perception and “spiritual experiences.” The effects are primarily due to the psychedelic compound known as psilocin. The effects are said to be similar to those caused by taking LSD.

The December 9 search turned up items in various locations in the residence, including the freezer.

Some of the drugs were found in the bedroom shared by Greer, Cross and two children, according to the probable cause affidavit.

In addition to a long list of drug offenses, Greer and Cross were also charged with endangering the welfare of a minor.

Cross is also charged with selling psilocybin mushrooms and ecstasy to confidential informants in September and October last year.
