Toledo Bend Lake Association donates to Sabine dive & rescue team

SABINE PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office announced that the Toledo Bend Lake Association donated funds to purchase a “much needed trailer” for their dive team.

Sabine Parish posted via social media that ‘the Sheriff Dive Team was formed soon after Sheriff Mitchell assumed the role of Sheriff in 2020. The team now consists of 12 Sabine Parish Sheriff Deputies, and they have all received the necessary training and certifications as divers.’

Sheriff Mitchell said that the Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office dive & rescue team is “ready for any incident that happens on Toledo Bend Lake, which is crucial for our area,” and thanked the Toledo Bend Lake Association for their generous donation.
