PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was arrested for allegedly stabbing another man in Portland’s Montavilla neighborhood, leaving him hospitalized Thursday morning.
Just before 9:30 a.m., officers responded to reports of a stabbing in the 9100 block of Southeast Stark Street.
Arriving at the scene, police said they found a man had been stabbed and that any possible suspect or suspects had left the area.
Officials said he was taken to a hospital with “serious, life-threatening injuries.”
After speaking with witnesses and getting a description out to other officers, the suspect –identified as 24-year-old Michael Kash Kash — was found ten blocks from the scene, around 25 minutes after the original call came in.
Kash Kash was arrested and taken to the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of first-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon. A knife was also seized as evidence, police said.
The incident is still under investigation and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Portland police.
