(KRON) – San Francisco 49ers cornerback Deommodore Lenoir was arrested in Los Angeles on Thursday, according to authorities.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., Los Angeles Police Department officers stopped an SUV near West Vernon Avenue and South Wilton Place for unknown reasons.
Suspect Marcus Cunningham threw a pair of keys over a fence. Police said Lenoir then picked up the keys and refused to give them to the authorities. Lenoir, according to LAPD, then threw the keys to a third suspect who tried to hide the keys from officers.
According to LAPD, Lenoir was arrested for delaying and resisting a peace officer. Cunningham was charged with possessing a firearm, police said.
According to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Office, Lenoir was released on Friday.
His court date is scheduled for July 25 in LA.
Lenoir is a Los Angeles native. The Niners drafted Lenior in 2021.
