PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — One family has come forward to claim jewelry seized by Washington County Sheriff’s deputies earlier this month, but more heirlooms have to be claimed and identified.
Investigators searched a home on Southwest Vermont Street earlier this month, finding large amounts of stolen jewelry and other items.
“The family was victim to a burglary in April of 2025, near the 7000 block of SW 54th Avenue in Portland. Hundreds of items have yet to be identified, and investigators are seeking to identify additional victims,” the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.
The items include assorted necklaces with charms that display family photos, various men’s and women’s watches and several jewelry boxes of varying sizes and materials.
People who wish to claim ownership over the items and want to come forward must provide proof of ownership, which can include detailed descriptions, photos of the items or police reports related to the thefts, among other methods, WCSO said.
People who know the rightful owners of the items should contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
