TOPEKA (KSNT) — One person went to the hospital Thursday after a shooting in East Topeka.
The Topeka Police Department (TPD) said officers were dispatched to the area near SE 4th Street and SE Lake Street at approximately 7:18 p.m. Thursday, June 26, for a reported aggravated battery.
TPD Officers found one adult suffering from apparent gunshot injuries. The victim was taken to a local hospital, and the injury does not appear to be life-threatening.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
