On June 26, around 4:37 p.m., officers found a Nissan Rogue that had been involved in a road rage incident involving a firearm on Charles Street.
Illinois State Police reported that Brasswell had shown his firearm to a semi-truck driver.
While speaking with the suspect, authorities found a loaded handgun in the SUV.
Braswell told deputies he was previously convicted of home invasion in Chicago and knew he was not supposed to have any firearms.
He is charged with possession of a weapon by a felon and aggravated unlawful possession of a loaded firearm without a FOID.
