
MCGEHEE, Ark. – Crews are on the scene of a reported train derailment in southeast Arkansas.
A post from McGehee city officials said that the train derailment happened at the crossing of Highway 4 and Crooked Bayou Road.
City officials ask drivers to avoid this area as crews work to remove the train from the tracks.
The Arkansas Department of Transportation’s iDrive map states that drivers can use Highway 169 as a detour.
Officials with the Desha County Sheriff’s Office said the train will be blocking the roadway Thursday night and part of Friday.
There is no word yet of any injuries or the possible cause of the derailment.
