(WPHL) — A food delivery driver has been captured on surveillance footage stealing over a hundred dollars in cash from an Applebee’s in Gloucester Township.
According to Gloucester Township police, the delivery driver went into the restaurant in late March around 10 p.m. to pick up a customer’s order.
During this time, an Applebee’s employee left $101 in cash on a nearby table.
The driver noticed the cash but was seen leaving the store with the customer’s food. He then returned shortly after claiming that the order was incomplete. While the employee went to the kitchen to investigate the order, the driver took the cash from the table and left the store.
The food delivery company only provided a name of “David”, but hasn’t cooperated with the theft investigation since, said police.
