SPANISH FORK, Utah (ABC4) — A 62-year-old woman was killed after being hit by a car at the intersection of Spanish Fork Parkway and SR-51 in Utah County.
According to the Spanish Fork Police Department, the woman was crossing the intersection when she was struck by a vehicle turning left.
The incident happened shortly after 7:30 a.m. Police say she was transported to a local hospital in critical condition following the crash.
Preliminary information indicates that a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Spanish Fork
Parkway and turning left to head northbound on SR-51 when it struck the woman as she was
crossing the intersection, officials said in a press release.
The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
