NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — June might be coming to an end, but the fun is just beginning. Get ready for an entertaining car show, performances by burlesque divas and drag queens and a preview for house hunters of beautifully built local homes: here are Where Y’at’s

weekend picks!

• First, Thursday night, June 26, and every Thursday, the Silver Slipper Casino & Hotel in Bay St. Louis presents Rumble on the Gulf: a car show and party with hot rods and classic cars competing for a Best-of-Show trophy. The Rumble also features great food, cold drinks and live music from the Dave Mayley Band.
• Next, grab tickets for Whiskey & Rhinestones Burlesque on Friday, June 27, at The Original Nite Cap in the historic Seventh ward. The production features both local and visiting burlesque entertainers, making each show a one-of-a-kind experience.
• If you’re in the market for a new home, The Home Builders Association of Greater New Orleans presents the Parade of Homes, with information about top home builders, sustainable building practices and more. You can also enjoy the parade virtually by downloading the New Orleans Parade of Homes app for a 3D virtual tour.
• Finally, celebrate Pride Month on Sunday in Mid-City at Alma Café’s Pride & Pancakes drag brunch. Guests will enjoy a menu that’s as bold as the drag queens themselves with dishes like Fritas Hondurenas, Melissa’s Pancakes and festive drink specials to keep the celebration going!
