Section of Denton Ferry Road closed to thru traffic Thursday

A portion of Denton Ferry Road will be closed to thru traffic beginning Thursday.

According to the Baxter County Road and Bridge Department, starting Thursday morning at 8 the section of Denton Ferry Road and County Road 1 starting at address 926 and extending to address 1032 on CR 1 will be closed due to road work.

Baxter County Judge Kevin Litty says heavy rains this spring caused some issues near the new bridge outside the Cotter city limits.

The work is expected to be completed Thursday evening by 5 with the Road and Bridge Department reopening this section to travelers.
