WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A 27-year-old truck driver from New York was killed Wednesday night in a single-vehicle crash on westbound Interstate 70 in Saline County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred just before 10 p.m. west of the Ohio Street exit. According to the crash report, the semi crossed into the left lane and struck the south guardrail before veering back across the highway and crashing into the north guardrail. The vehicle then rolled onto its side and came to rest, blocking westbound lanes.
The driver, identified as Jagjeevan Singh of Flora Park, New York, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
