LE SSERAFIM tickets for San Francisco show sell out in minutes

(KRON) — There is immense anticipation for K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM’s first Bay Area show. The five-member group is slated to perform in San Francisco at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on Sept. 14.

Upon going on sale to the general public at 4 p.m. Wednesday, tickets on the official retailer Ticketmaster were gone in minutes. Many tickets were purchased during the exclusive fan club presale on Tuesday.

LE SSERAFIM sold out the 8,500-capacity Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in a hurry. At least 31,000 people were waiting in Ticketmaster’s queue on Wednesday to buy tickets, a LE SSERAFIM fan account posted on X.

Bay Area fans took to social media to express their frustration over the act — who was the K-pop headliner at the 2024 Coachella Festival — booking a relatively small venue for its first Bay Area show.

One fan called it a “mistake” for the girl group to book a venue that is “too small.” Another fan was confused for LE SSERAFIM’s management choosing to book a Bill Graham show — hoping the group would perform at a larger venue like Oakland Arena or Chase Center.

Similarly popular K-pop girl groups IVE and ITZY both had their Bay Area debut shows at the Oakland Arena in 2024.

K-pop acts have a history of quickly selling out Bay Area tour stops. Seventeen sold out two Oakland Arena shows last November within one hour of tickets going on sale.

When fellow Asian girl group XG announced a San Francisco concert at the same venue, tickets also sold out in a hurry. Tickets to see the South Korea-based Japanese septet sold out during the presale. Due to high demand, concert promoter Another Planet Entertainment (APE) announced a second show would be added the following night.

KRON4 reached out to concert promoter, Another Planet Entertainment, for more information about tickets selling out and if a second show will be added. We did not hear back in time for publication.
