Freeport man, 66, charged with child pornography

FREEPORT, Ill. (WTVO) — A 66-year-old Freeport man is facing charges of trading in child pornography, according to the Illinois State Police.

Authorities announced the arrest of Steven Busiere on Thursday, and a list of charges that includes 9 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of dissemination of child pornography.

Police executed a search warrant at Busiere’s residence in the 1700 block of East Shawnee Street on Thursday morning, and said evidence was collected from electronic devices that revealed child sexual abuse materials.

Busiere was booked into the Stephenson County Jail.
