CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Five former Fancher Creek Elementary School students say their former teacher sexually abused them when they were in the second grade more than two decades ago.
The women filed a lawsuit on June 17 naming the school and Clovis Unified School District as defendants.
The suit says the school and district received multiple complaints about Yang abusing his students, but didn’t report it, going back to the 1998 school year.
The lawsuit comes more than a decade after Yang was sentenced to 38 years in prison for child pornography, after he recorded and stored videos depicting the sexual abuse of a minor under 12 on multiple occasions in January 2012.
The lawsuit alleges he sexually abused the plaintiffs even before that. It says Yang groped, fondled and coerced some of them to perform oral sex, which he allegedly called a “lollipop game.” Additionally, one of the plaintiffs says Yang also showed her child pornography on his phone at school.
