(PINPOINT WEATHER) — What a stormy evening for many of you– powerful storms produced wind damage and several reports of hail around the region, leading to scattered power outages. Storms are gradually moving out and fading away overnight, and it’s back to dry weather everywhere again for the morning drive.

Wednesday was also the hottest day of the year so far in Charlotte! The high reached 100 degrees, the hottest since we hit 101 last July 5. The Heat Advisory continues for Charlotte and areas east, with “feels like” temps getting close to 110 again Thursday afternoon.

More scattered storms will be possible Thursday afternoon and evening, and again on Friday. Once again, some could turn severe with damaging wind gusts and/or hail. Stay weather aware!
