Where to watch fireworks and drone shows on the 4th of July in Utah — every county

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Fireworks are a Fourth of July tradition, and drone shows are gaining popularity as well. From Bear Lake to St. George, we’ve found somewhere you can celebrate the Fourth. Check out the best places to see fireworks (or drones) near you.

This list will be updated with more events as they are announced before the Fourth of July. If you know about any celebrations that aren’t on this list, send us a tip. Counties are organized alphabetically.

Beaver County

Milford: This city starts the day with a 6 a.m. cannon salute at sunrise. Afterward, Milford City hosts a parade and lunch served by the Lions Club. The rest of the day is filled with a carnival, foot races, cornhole, and more fun. Finally, at dusk, celebrants can go to the Milford Recreation Complex (70 W River St) to watch fireworks.

Minersville: The Minersville Fourth of July celebration is an all-day celebration in the state. A 5K, parade, corn hole, bounce houses, and more will all be great ways to celebrate Independence Day. Fireworks will go off at dusk at the park.

Box Elder County

Brigham City: The Fourth of July celebration in Brigham City is an all-day event, kicking off at 8 a.m. and ending with fireworks when it’s dark. For those interested in fireworks, live music starts at 8 p.m. at Pioneer Park (800 W Forest Street) in Brigham City. Then, following the performances, a fireworks display will take place at 10 p.m.

Cache County

Hyrum: The Hyrum City fireworks show will take place on the Fourth of July at 10 p.m. Alongside watching the fireworks at the Hyrum Soccer Fields (145 S 700 E), you can tune into the radio station to hear a broadcast that goes along with the display.

Lewiston: This Cache County city knows how to throw a party. The Fourth of July begins with a cannon salute, flag ceremony, and breakfast between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. A 5K starts at 7 a.m., followed by the Famous Parade and F-16 flyover. Fun events like races, art shows, and tours follow. Finally, at dusk, the “Famous Fireworks” show will launch from the Lewiston Fairgrounds (106 E Ctr St).

Logan: Another Independence Eve celebrator, Logan City, will host its fireworks show on July 3 at 10 p.m. The display will take place at Willow Park (450 W 700 S) and is being put on by Logan City Parks and Recreation.

Carbon County

Price: Carbon County is hosting its fireworks show in Price. The fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. at the Carbon County Event Center (450 S Fairgrounds Way).

Daggett County

Dutch John: The Freedom Festival in Dutch John takes place on July 5 and features breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the local Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Later in the day, a fireworks show will take place at dusk.

Davis County

Centerville: The Centerville Freedom Festival runs from July 3 to 5, with a fireworks show to end the event on Saturday, July 5. All day Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Centerville will be featuring a live music performance on the east side of Community Park (1350 N 400 W). After performances wrap up, a fireworks show will kick off at 10 p.m.

Clearfield: Boasting Utah’s second-largest fireworks show is Clearfield City’s Freedom Festival. Their Fourth of July celebration features a morning 5K, a hometown parade, and a festival to end the night. They promise tasty treats, fun vendors, and “breathtaking fireworks.” The fireworks show kicks off at 10 p.m. at Fisher Park (934 S 1000 E).

Kaysville: This city celebrates the Fourth of July for an entire week, but most of its festivities happen on the actual fourth. The morning kicks off with breakfast, then a 5K and 10K, followed by a parade. Music and food trucks start at 5 p.m., with a fireworks finale at Barnes Park (950 W 200 N) at 10 p.m.

Layton: The annual Layton City Liberty Days celebration will kick off at 6:30 a.m. on the Fourth of July. It features a breakfast, a fun run, a flag raising ceremony, a free concert, and so much more! After everything wraps up for the evening, families can watch a fireworks display at 10 p.m. at the Layton Commons Park (437 N Wasatch Drive).

North Salt Lake: This one is actually on July 3, but it’s how North Salt Lake celebrates its Liberty Fest at Eaglewood Golf Course (1110 E Eaglewood Dr). The event starts at 4 p.m. with food trucks, skydivers, and flyovers. The fireworks show kicks off at 10 p.m.

West Bountiful City: On July 3, West Bountiful City will have an Independence Day carnival and fireworks show at the city park (550 W 1600 N). The carnival runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., then a live concert starts at 8 p.m. and leads into the fireworks show at 10 p.m.

West Point: Party at the Point is running for several days and has a wide variety of activities and events. West Point will be hosting everything from tournaments to photography contests to 5K runs. For a full list of events, visit their website. If you’re looking for a fireworks show, you can catch it at 10 p.m. on July 4 at Loy Blake Park (550 N 3500 W), followed by a short movie.

Duchesne County

Duchesne City: It’s a “Party in the U.S.A.” in Duchesne this Fourth of July. The city is hosting a parade, water activities, a talent show, and a Channel Z concert. A tribute to veterans will be held at 9:45 p.m., followed by a fireworks display at Roy Park (400 S Center Street) at 10 p.m.

Roosevelt: If you’re celebrating the Fourth of July in Roosevelt, there is no shortage of ways to get involved. From early morning pickleball tournaments, to sandcastle building and fossil digs, all the way to bounce houses and live music, there’s something for everyone. At 10 p.m., a “patriotic fireworks display” will kick off at Constitution Park (792 W 200 S).

Emery County

Huntington: The 2025 Heritage Days in Huntington are hosting a few events on the Fourth of July. The morning will start with breakfast at 7:30 a.m., followed by a parade. A lineup of live entertainment will happen between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., then the headliner, Timeless, will perform from 7 to 9:45 p.m. Right after the show, the fireworks display will take place at dusk at the Huntington Fairgrounds (240 UT-31).

Garfield County

Antimony: Even a town with less than 200 people can put on a Fourth of July celebration. Antimony Town is hosting a parade at 10:30 a.m., followed by lunch with firefighters, bingo, and a fireworks show to top it all off. The fireworks will go off at dusk from Otter Creek RV Park and Marina.

Panguitch: Although it’s not a traditional fireworks show, the Panguitch Truck Show will be in the city on July 4 and 5. On Friday night, a light show and parade will light up and impress visitors, starting at 9 p.m. along Main Street.

Grand County

Moab: The City of Moab and Grand County team up every year to light up the sky above Moab on the Fourth. The fireworks display starts at 9 p.m. and lasts roughly an hour. According to their website, visitors can see the fireworks from anywhere in downtown Moab and tune into synchronized music on 97.1 FM.

Iron County

Cedar City: The Cedar City Fire Department hosts a fireworks show at the Cedar City Regional Airport (2560 Aviation Way Street) on the Fourth of July. This year, it begins at dark, roughly 10 p.m., according to their website.

Parowan City: The celebration in Parowan City will kick off with a 10 a.m. parade on Main Street. Games, vendors, food, and music will follow, with a live concert happening between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. When the concert ends, a fireworks display will be held at the Iron County Fairgrounds (East Clinic Way).

Juab County

Nephi: The Fourth of July Celebration in Nephi starts with a breakfast at 7 a.m. and a 5K at 8 a.m. A flag raising ceremony, quilt auction, and carnival games will fill up the late morning and early afternoon. At dusk, visitors and residents alike will gather at the Juab County Fairgrounds () for a fireworks show that’s sure to impress.

Kane County

Kanab: The Independence Day celebration in Kanab is one you have to see if you’re from or visiting the area. Cannons blast to wake up the town at 6 a.m., followed by a 5K and pancake breakfast. A parade leads into day-long festivities before live music plays while fireworks light up the sky after dark. The fireworks can be seen at Jacob Hamblin Park (566 N 100 E) after the sun sets.

Millard County

Delta: The sunrise salute will start the American Made celebration in Delta City at 6 a.m. A 5K, fly over, and parade follow soon after. The patriotic program begins at 12:30 p.m. After a day of fun and sun, fireworks will light up the night at 10 p.m. at the Millard County Fairgrounds (187 Manzanita Avenue), joining with Fillmore City and other county residents.

Morgan County

Morgan: The Morgan Chamber is hosting its Independence Day celebration all day on July 4. They boast their “Cardboard Boat Regatta” at 2:30 p.m. as a must-see Fourth of July event. After that, live music from Anna Kaelin and Gregg Hammer Duo will start at 8 p.m. Finally, a fireworks show will take place at the Morgan Fairgrounds (750 Como Springs Road).

Piute County

Circleville: The Town of Circleville is hosting a Fourth of July celebration that starts with a parade at 10 a.m. A program announcing the winners of the parade will follow with lunch shortly after. Races and games will take place starting at 1 p.m. To top off the celebration, fireworks will go off at dusk. Circleville says that the location of the fireworks is to be announced.

Rich County

Garden City: Fourth of July festivities in Garden City start at 4 p.m. with food trucks and activities for kids and families. A live concert with the band Little Texas starts at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks will go off from Garden City Heritage Park (579 Buttercup Boulevard) when it’s dark, with the event wrapping up around 11:30 p.m.

Salt Lake County

Holladay: This city is hosting a full day of fun, featuring breakfast in the morning, a bike parade at 9 a.m., and evening festivities with Charley Jenkins performing at 8 p.m. Finally, their “Patriotic Show” starts at 10 p.m. at Holladay City Hall Park (4580 S 2300 E).

Magna: The Magna Fourth of July celebration starts at 7 a.m. and lasts all day. A flag-raising ceremony and breakfast start at 7 a.m., then a 5K walk or run begins at noon. Their fireworks show is at 10 p.m. at Magna Copper Park (8975 W 2600 S).

Millcreek: To celebrate “Independence Eve,” Millcreek Common (1354 E Chambers Ave) will be hosting an air show the night before the Fourth. Starting at 6 p.m., visitors can enjoy the Flying Aces perform aerial stunts. At dusk, a drone show will light up the sky in place of fireworks. This is a ticketed event.

Murray: The Murray Fun Days happen every year on the Fourth of July. It’s another all-day celebration that kicks off at 7 a.m. with a sunrise service, followed by breakfast, a 5K, and a parade. The fireworks show is at 10 p.m. at Murray Park (296 E Murray Park Ave).

Riverton: The Fourth of July falls during Riverton Town Days, a week-long event including a carnival, a parade, mini golf, pickleball, and more. The Fourth will start with a flag-raising ceremony and a day full of races, tournaments, and music. The fireworks go off at 10 p.m. on the west lawn of the Riverton City Park (142 W 12600 S).

Salt Lake City: Several fireworks shows are happening in Salt Lake City on the fourth.

  • The Gateway (400 W 200 S) in downtown is hosting a Fourth of July celebration starting at 6 p.m., with a fireworks show at 10 p.m. at the Olympic Plaza (near Kiln and Dreamscapes).
  • The Monster Jam World Finals will be in Salt Lake City at the Rice-Eccles Stadium (451 1400 E) over the Fourth of July. Following the event, at 9:30 p.m., guests can watch a fireworks show at the stadium, hosted by VetTix.
  • The Salt Lake City Drone Show isn’t on the Fourth of July, but happens the following evening on July 5. The celebration starts at 8 p.m. at Jordan Park (1060 S 900 W), and the drone show itself begins at 10 p.m.

Sandy City: A free “firework sky concert” will be held at the Sandy Promenade (10000 S 172 W) at 10 p.m. They recommend tuning in to B98.7 while you watch to listen to music playing for the fireworks show. The band “The Salamanders” will be playing right before and right after the fireworks.

West Jordan: The Western Stampede is coming to West Jordan on July 3 with a rodeo and carnival. After two jam-packed days of festivities at the Western Stampede, a fireworks show will start immediately after the rodeo at Veterans Memorial Park (1985 S 7800 St) at 10 p.m. on the Fourth of July.

San Juan County

Blanding: The Fourth of July Celebration in Blanding is themed after the phrase “let freedom ring” this year. The events on the Fourth start with a 5K run at 6:30 a.m., followed by breakfast with the mayor, and then a parade. More events are held throughout the day until things wind down with live music at Centennial Park at 7 p.m., leading straight into the fireworks show when it’s fully dark.

Sanpete County

Manti: The Manti City Fourth of July Celebration is another all-day event with a 7 a.m. breakfast kicking off the day of celebration. A 5K run or walk will follow, then different games and entertainment will happen across the city. Finally, a fireworks show will kick off at dusk at the Manti City Sports Complex (998 100 E).

Moroni: The Fourth of July Celebration in Moroni will include a 5K, carnival, flag ceremony, and activities all morning and afternoon. Starting at 7:30 p.m., festivities will continue at Center Street Park (675 East 100 South), leading into a 10 p.m. fireworks display, presented by the Moroni Fire Department.

Mt. Pleasant: The Hub City Days celebration in Mt. Pleasant is between June 28 and July 5. On the Fourth of July, Mt. Pleasant will be hosting a freedom run, flag-raising ceremony, and parade. After the morning festivities, the Hub City Rodeo will start at 6 p.m. Fireworks will shoot off at dusk at the Mt. Pleasant City Park (12 W 800 S).

Sevier County

Richfield: The Richfield Red, White and Beautiful celebration for the Fourth of July kicks off with a boom at 6 a.m., when a cannon salute will take place. The day is full of events like a 5K, parade, food and game booths, and a concert. The fireworks display will begin at 9:30 p.m. in the West Hills area.

Salina: Much like Richfield, Salina City also promises to start the morning with a boom, this time through a dynamite blast at 6 a.m. A Fourth of July breakfast will then take place, followed by a flag ceremony and a full day of activities. The parade is at 4:30 p.m., leading right into the Salina Riding Club Rodeo at 7:45 p.m. Once the rodeo wraps up, fireworks will be shot off by the Salina Fire Department.

Summit County

Henefer: The small town of Henefer will be hosting its own Fourth of July celebration. After a day of activities, a 7:30 p.m. performance by the Dance Doctors will lead right into the fireworks show at Main Henefer Town Park (100 200 W), beginning at 10 p.m.

Park City: A drone show at Park City Mountain is planned to cap off a day full of celebration for Park City. A 5K fun run, parade, games, and more will all take place before the sun sets. For the drone show, Park City recommends watching from Park City Mountain, Park City Golf Course, City Park, or Lower Main Street.

Tooele County

Grantsville: When it comes to Independence Day, Grantsville City goes all out. Festivities start at 7 a.m. on the Fourth of July with a “mountain man” breakfast, followed by a flag-raising ceremony, 5K, and parade. At Cherry Street Park (East Cherry Street), activities will be going on all day until the fireworks show that starts at 10 p.m.

Tooele City: The Fourth of July celebration in Tooele City promises days of events leading up to the holiday. On the Fourth, a breakfast will be hosted by the Tooele Chamber of Commerce, followed by a 5K, parade, and activities at the park. There will be two fireworks shows put on by Tooele City: one on July 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Deseret Peak Indoor Arena (2930 UT-112, Grantsville), and one on July 5 at 8 p.m. at the Tooele High School Football Stadium (294 International Ave, Tooele).

West Wendover City: Although this city is in Nevada, many citizens from Utah’s Wendover might want to cross state lines to attend the fireworks display and Fourth of July activities. According to their website, West Wendover City’s “fireworks extravaganza” starts at 10:15 p.m., coming from Three Mile Mountain.

Utah County

Eagle Mountain: This city is having an Independence Day celebration at Cory Wride Memorial Park (5806 Pony Express Parkway). Eagle Mountain’s event starts at 8 p.m. and promises live music, food trucks, and a fireworks display at 10 p.m. to finish off the night. Make sure to bring a blanket to sit on the grass while you watch the fireworks burst.

Pleasant Grove: The fireworks show in Pleasant Grove will be held at Discovery Park (1511 N 100 E). According to their website, the fireworks will begin at dark. They warn that the venue is small, but parking will be available in the surrounding streets and churches.

Provo: The Stadium of Fire is returning to Provo on the Fourth of July. It boasts the “nation’s largest stadium fireworks and drone spectacle.” The event is being headlined by country singer Rascal Flatts, celebrating 25 years with a reunion tour performance. A flyover by F-35 jets from Hill Air Force Base will also happen during the event. This is a ticketed show, and it begins at 8 p.m. at the LaVell Edwards Stadium (1700 N Canyon Road).

Lehi: Thanksgiving Point’s Freedom Celebration is a free event held at Electric Park (2650 N Ashton Boulevard) in Thanksgiving Point. According to their website, gates open at 4 p.m. and the fireworks show starts at 10 p.m. The firework finale will be synchronized to popular music that you can hear live or over your radio on The Bull 93.3.

Vineyard: This is another city that’s holding festivities a little bit early. On July 1, Vineyard will be hosting an Independence Day celebration at Vineyard Grove Park (350 N 100 E). It will feature fire trucks, a DJ dance party, and a fireworks show to cap off the night at dark. The event runs between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Wasatch County

Heber Valley: Cities in the Heber Valley are hosting a Red, White, Blue Festival that will run all day, from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. It kicks off with hot air balloons at 6:30 a.m., followed by numerous activities, including a 5K and a 10K, a plane fly-over, a freedom train, live entertainment, and much more. The fireworks display will be at Memorial Hill (40 River Rd, Midway) and start at 10 p.m.

Washington County

Hildale: Short Creek Festivies hosts a joint freedom festival for Hildale, Utah, and two Arizona cities, Centennial Park and Colorado City. A full roster of events and festivities is planned leading up to the big fireworks event on July 4, which you can view on their Facebook page. A street dance will start at 8 p.m. with a fireworks break at the UEP Field at 10 p.m. The street dance will resume after the fireworks display.

Hurricane City: The Hurricane City and Redrock Media Stars and Stripes Celebration will take place at Sand Hollow Reservoir (3351 Sand Hollow Road). According to their website, gates open at 6 p.m. and admission to the state park will be free. Local vendors will be serving food and drinks until the sun sets. At dusk, a synchronized music and fireworks show will kick off.

St. George: The St. George Independence Day celebration will feature its annual Fourth of July parade and the Uncle Sam 4K Race. The city notes that there will not be a carnival or vendors at the celebration, but they’ll show up later in the month for the Dixie Days Celebration. A fireworks show will wrap up the holiday right, starting at 10 p.m. at the Greater Zion Stadium at Utah Tech University (501 S 700 E).

Wayne County

Hanksville: A great way to celebrate Independence Day in Wayne County is by visiting Hanksville. This year, they’re beginning with a 7 a.m. pancake breakfast in the park, followed by a parade and patriotic program. More events will happen throughout the day, but horseshoes and live music at the Hanksville Town Park will lead into the 10 p.m. fireworks show.

Weber County

Farr West: This is another city that plans a full day of events around the Fourth of July. The Farr West Freedom Festival runs for several days, and festivities include a flag ceremony, parade, children’s races, and more. The fireworks show starts at 10 p.m. at Smith Family Park (2500 W 4000 N), the perfect way to end a day of fun.

North Ogden: The North Ogden Cherry Days go over the Fourth of July, and feature a fireworks show on July 5, just after the holiday. The Fourth itself has several celebrations, including a parade and a 5K race. On July 5, a concert starts a 7:30 p.m. at Banker Park (2375 N Fruitland Drive) and will be followed by fireworks at 10 p.m..

Plain City: On the Fourth of July, Plain City will also host a 5K and a parade. There will also be a community raffle, a dodgeball tournament, and a fire department water fight. At Lee Olsen Park (3966 W 2200 N Street), families will gather at dusk to watch fireworks explode.

Riverdale: The Old Glory Days in Riverdale start at 6 a.m. with a cannon blast. A day jam-packed with activities follows, including a 5K, a parade, a car show, and more. Starting at 6 p.m., vendors will set up at Riverdale Park (4300 Parker Drive), with a fireworks show lighting up the night sky at 10 p.m.

Uintah County

Vernal: The Dinosaurland Freedom Fest promises to impress residents at the Uintah Community Center (610 S Vernal Avenue). A 5K starts at 7 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. parade and a variety of summer activities during the peak sunlight hours. Between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m., live music will be played, leading right into the fireworks show at 10 p.m.
