AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Texas Department of State Health Services is conducting 2025 Parent/Caregiver and Young Adult Outreach Surveys to help DSHS identify needs and gaps in programs and services.

According to DSHS officials, families of children and youth with special health care needs (CYSHCN) and young adults with disabilities in Texas are encouraged to fill out the survey and share their experiences with receiving care in Texas.

Officials noted that all survey responses are anonymous. The results will be shared with Texas public and state agencies. The information will help improve outcomes for CYSHCN and their families. Participation is voluntary and takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. Surveys will be collected until Sept. 30.

  • Parents of CYSHCN (0-21 years)
  • Young adults (18-26 years) with disabilities and/or chronic health conditions
