Man in American flag helmet steals packages in Selma, police say

SELMA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man wearing a helmet with an American flag and driving an electric scooter is wanted after he stole a package from a home in Selma, the city’s police department said.

Officers responded to a package theft from the 2500 block of Dockery Avenue in Selma on Monday at around 2:30 p.m.

Police say surveillance footage captured the suspect approaching the home through the front lawn on an electric scooter. He was then seen leaving the scene, heading southbound on Dockery Avenue, after taking the Amazon package valued at around $50.

Officers said the suspect was wearing a black button-up shirt, green cargo pants and a black helmet with an American flag logo.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call the Selma Police Department at 559-896-2525 and ask for Officer Plasiencia.
