Teppers pledge $10 million to fight hunger in the Carolinas
CHARLOTTE (CAROLINA SPORTS LIVE) — David and Nicole Tepper are stepping up in a big way to help families across the Carolinas.
Through their foundation, the couple announced Wednesday a donation of more than $10 million to food banks in North and South Carolina, the largest gift in the foundation’s history.
The funds will go directly to 10 food banks serving both states, helping them meet rising demand at a time when many are struggling with less public funding and higher costs.
The donation includes special one-time grants to each food bank and promises to increase their annual funding again in early 2026.
Food banks receiving the grants include:
“Our communities are facing a food crisis, and each of these organizations are on the front lines addressing that basic need. We want to ensure they have the resources to continue to serve a growing community who rely on them day in and day out,” the Teppers said in a statement.
David and Nicole Tepper said they’ve made fighting hunger a key part of their mission since buying the Carolina Panthers in 2018.
