CHICAGO (WGN) — Get ready to eat your way through the weekend.

The Chicago Food Truck Festival is returning to the South Loop on June 28-29, celebrating its 12th season with a nod to one of the city’s most iconic bites: the Chicago-style hotdog.

The festival, held at 2300 South Indiana Avenue, will feature classic comfort food and innovative dishes from over 40 food trucks and local vendors.

Festgoers can also enjoy both traditional and unique flavors of margaritas thanks to a collaboration with the Chicago Margarita Festival.

General admission is free, and VIP tickets are available for $12.51, which includes a complimentary drink. Seating is limited so guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Children under the age of eight are free. Tickets are valid for one day of use only.

And if you can’t make it this weekend, the city’s Chi Food Truck Fest at Daley Plaza continues every Friday until Oct. 3.

The weekly fest, held at 50 West Washington Street from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., offers a rotating selection of food trucks.
