BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A woman accused of being connected to the deadly shooting of an 8-year-old boy entered a guilty plea.
On June 17, Brianna Crump, 20, withdrew her not guilty plea and pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact to first-degree murder.
As part of her guilty plea, Crump is ordered to serve three years of active probation, as well as complete required training and 75 hours of community service.
On Nov. 27, 2024, Baton Rouge Police officers were called to Swan Avenue after a drive-by shooting. Officers confirmed that one child, Diellon Daniels, died from his injuries. Daniels’ mother and his five siblings were struck by gunfire.
Police identified Yancey Jarrell, Tremell Harris, Roger Parker, and Kendrick Profit as suspects in the shooting. All were arrested and formally charged with first-degree murder, five counts of attempted first-degree murder, assault by drive-by shooting, and illegal use of weapons during a crime of violence. Yarnell Crump was charged with accessory after the fact to first-degree murder and five counts of attempted first-degree murder. Demarcus Parker was charged with obstruction of justice.
Crump’s next court hearing is scheduled for Aug. 11.
