TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Tropical Storm Andrea formed in the Atlantic on Tuesday, the National Hurricane Center announced.
The storm has maximum sustained winds of around 40 mph and is located about 1,205 miles west of the Azores.
Later on Tuesday, Andrea is expected to encounter hostile environmental conditions, ending the opportunity for further development. It is expected to dissipate by Wednesday night.
The storm is expected to move northeastward at around 15 to 20 mph and stay over the open central Atlantic.
