Man killed in single-vehicle crash in east Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A single-vehicle crash in east Austin early Saturday morning killed Eddy Pena Delarosa, the Austin Police Department said in a news release. 

Around 5:33 a.m., police responded to a crash in the 7000 block of Crystalbrook Drive. Delarosa was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. 

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 47th fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 51 deaths.
