LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — Divers continue to search for a teen who went missing on Monday while swimming in the Ohio River.
Louisville Metro Police were called around 8:30 p.m. on June 23 to help Pleasure Ridge Park Fire District after a report of a person in the Ohio River near the Greenwood Boat Ramp, department spokesperson Aaron Ellis told the FOX affiliate in Louisville, WDRB.
Crews were told a male teen was swimming near the boat ramp with friends but didn’t resurface. Ellis said the other swimmers got out of the water safely.
Louisville police’s river and dive team searched for the teen but paused the search due to darkness.
Divers with Pleasure Ridge Park Fire District and Louisville Fire are searching for the teen again near the dock.
