(PINPOINT WEATHER) — It’s all about the HEAT this week!
An upper-level ridge of high pressure will dominate over the region the next few days, giving us highs in the mid to upper 90s, with the humidity making it feel like 100-plus. “Feels like” temps up to 109 degrees Tuesday and Wednesday has prompted a Heat Advisory for most of our area. Take it easy out there — stay hydrated if you have to be outside for a while, and take breaks in the shade or in some air conditioning as much as you can!

The high-pressure ridge will break down a bit Wednesday as a disturbance moves in. That disturbance will bring the return of some cooling rain, but at the same time, the risk of severe storms. We’re under a Level 1 out of 5 risk for Wednesday. Damaging wind gusts and/or hail may occur with any severe storms that develop.

The chance of showers and storms will be a daily occurrence the rest of the week and weekend. Not everyone will get rain every day, but the chance is there! Highs look to remain in the low 90s into early next week.
Tonight: Clear, warm and muggy. Low 75.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Small shower/storm chance, mainly in the mountains. High 100.
