AUBURN, Ala. (WRBL) – With football season right around the corner, video games that are catered to the sport are set to drop, including the much-anticipated EA Sports College Football 26.
Many football fans are excited for the new features added to the game, along with who would be selected for the theme song and it has just been revealed.
It was announced by EA Sports that the Auburn University Marching Band was selected to record and headline the theme song for the video game. EA sports revealed that the track was recorded back in December.
Each time the game is launched, college football fans and gamers will get to hear the Auburn Marching Band at the start menu before jumping into action to play “Road to Glory” and “Dynasty Mode,” in addition to other modes the video game offers.
EA Sports released a statement on working with the Auburn University Marching Band and went into details on recording the theme song with the band by saying:
“We worked with the Auburn University Marching Band, under the leadership of Marching Band Director Dr. Corey Spurlin, to record a version of our theme for College Football ‘26. Auburn University was selected because they were the 2023 Metallica Marching Band contest winner. We couldn’t have found a more amazing and talented group of musicians to work with on this, and we can’t wait to find the next Band to feature in EA Sports College Football.”
The video game is set to be released on July 10.
