(WHTM) — Tonight’s Hometown Heroes found their fur-ever homes.
The Brandywine Valley SPCA partnered with Petco Love to hold the largest adoption event in the country. The shelter brought dogs and cats from the Midstate to the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark, Delaware.
The Humane Society of Harrisburg Area had 78 adoptions at the event and 23 at its shelter — making a grand total of 101 adoptions.
Adoption fees started at $35 and were then waived for the second and final day of the event.
