Teen apprehended after pulling firearm at South Ogden event

SOUTH OGDEN, Utah (ABC4) — South Ogden Police say a teen was apprehended after pulling a firearm during the South Ogden Days event on Saturday.

In a press release on Facebook from the department, police say they were providing security at the event when they received a report of a group of juveniles with a gun in the park.

After police approached the group, a male juvenile pulled a firearm from their clothing. Officers then challenged the suspect, who dropped the weapon and fled into a large crowd near the concert stage.

Officers eventually caught up to the juvenile and were able to apprehend them without incident. No injuries were reported and there are no ongoing threats to the public.
