KENTUCKY (FOX 56) — In the wake of a US-authorized bombing of three nuclear sites in Iran, President Donald Trump says Rep. Thomas Massie will be facing a “wonderful American Patriot” running against him in the Republican primary election for representation of Kentucky’s fourth district.
Massie took to social media in the hours following the attack, saying, “This is not Constitutional,” and “This is not America First folks.”
Other state leaders, including Hal Rogers, Attorney General Russell Coleman, and Sen. Andy Barr, vocally supported Trump’s decision to move forward with the attack.
Before thanking the US military for the hard work of coordinating and executing the bombing operation, President Trump said he doubted that Massie would vote in support of his Big Beautiful Bill.
“I’ll be out in Kentucky campaigning real hard,” Trump wrote on Truth Social just before 2 p.m. on Sunday.
