PORTLAND, Ore (KOIN) – A man suspected of a stabbing in Woodburn that left one person hospitalized has been arrested, Woodburn Police Department announced.
Around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Woodburn police responded to a reported stabbing at an apartment complex on Young Street, where officers found one person with a stab wound who was later taken to a hospital.
During the investigation, authorities discovered that the suspect fled to another apartment. With help from the Marion County SWAT Team, police served a search warrant at the apartment; however, the suspect was not found, police said.
Later, around 6 a.m., Woodburn police spotted 37-year-old suspect Luis Tlehuactle Morales walking along Pacific Highway 99E and Blaine Street and arrested him.
Tlehuactle Morales was taken to Marion County Jail facing several charges including attempted murder, first-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
