MAGNA, Utah (ABC4) — A fatal car crash in Magna Saturday night has left two people dead and one in critical condition.
The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of SR 201 and 7200 West in Magna, Utah Highway Patrol (UHP) told ABC4.com.
A red Mustang was in the left turn lane at the stoplight, facing northbound on 7200 West. When the light changed to green, a white BMW traveling eastbound on SR 201 failed to yield to the Mustang, and T-boned the vehicle.
The two occupants of the Mustang were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the BMW is currently in critical condition at Intermountain Care in Murray.
The scene was finally cleared around 4:00 a.m. Sunday morning. UHP is currently labeling the incident as a high-speed crash.
The victims’ identities have not been released, pending notification to next-of-kin.
