INDIANAPOLIS— The storm that rolled through Indiana on Wednesday left tens of thousands without power. AES Indiana has been working since then to restore power for all of their customers.
As of 3 p.m. Saturday, AES has restored power to 99% of its customers; 945 customers remain without power.
AES anticipates the remaining customers to have their power restored by midday Sunday.
To support their customers during the heatwave, AES is partnering with Indy Parks to provide ice to cooling centers throughout the city.
“We know being without power in this heat is difficult,” AES officials wrote in a press release, “and we want to make sure our customers can stay safe and cool while our crews continue working around the clock to restore service.”
