BARDSTOWN, Ky. (FOX 56) — A passenger died, and the driver was flown to the hospital after a car crashed into a parked car before hitting a nearby house early Saturday morning in Bardstown.
The Bardstown Fire Department posted on Facebook that just after 4:20 a.m. on Saturday, crews were sent to the 800 block of West Stephen Foster Avenue in response to reports of a vehicle crash involving a house.
When crews got to the area of the crash, two people were found injured inside a black car.
“It appeared that the black car left the roadway and struck the blue car that was parked at a residence and then the black car hit the structure,” Bardstown fire officials wrote.
Authorities said the passenger died from their injuries, and emergency personnel reportedly flew the driver from Flaget Hospital to the University of Louisville Trauma Center.
Nelson County Coroner Daniella Chladek identified the passenger as 27-year-old Morgan Williamson of Taylorsville.
The deadly crash is being investigated by the Kentucky State Police.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to all involved,” the department wrote.
