PHILADELPHIA (WPHL) — PHL17 continues to give back to our local communities and joined more than 100 stations across the country Friday for the annual Nexstar Founder’s Day of Caring.
Throughout the day, PHL17 employees volunteered at various Philadelphia nonprofits.
At Broad Street Love in Center City, team members volunteered for lunch service. Over in East Falls, clothing donations were sorted at Cradles to Crayons. In Southwest Philadelphia, PHL17 employees helped sort through donated produce at Sharing Excess for distribution to local food banks and organizations. The gym at the Cozen PAL Center in Francisville got a cleaning, along with a fresh coat of paint.
Founder’s Day of Caring was established in 2016 by Nexstar founder, chairman, and CEO Perry Sook.
