CHICAGO (WGN) — Authorities are searching for answers on Saturday morning after a person was found dead near a North Side park along Lake Shore Drive.
The victim was located in the 3600 block of North Jean Baptiste Pointe du Sable Lake Shore Drive, in Lakeview, just after 3 a.m. Saturday morning.
Chicago police say the victim, a male whose age is unknown, was found unresponsive near the street and was later pronounced dead on the scene.
While it is unclear exactly what led to the victim’s death, officers said the CPD Major Accidents Investigations Unit, which probes crashes, is now investigating the incident.
Authorities have not yet identified the victim killed and authorities have classified the incident as a death investigation.
