OCEAN CITY, N.J. (WPHL) — Police have arrested a Philadelphia man on Friday, who is accused of putting a hidden camera inside an Ocean City Boardwalk bathroom last week.
Harold Perkins, 38, is facing multiple counts of invasion of privacy and endangering the welfare of children/manufacturing child pornography.
According to the Ocean City Police Department, on June 12, officers responded to the public bathrooms at 6th Street and the Boardwalk after receiving a report of finding a recording device.
When officers arrived, they met with a woman who reported she had found a hidden camera inside one of the bathrooms. Police then searched all of the public bathrooms on the Boardwalk and found additional cameras in the 10th Street and 11th Street public bathrooms.
Friday morning, the Ocean City Police Department and other law enforcement officials executed a court-authorized search warrant at Perkins’ home on the 4200 block of Glenview Street in Mayfair. Perkins was taken into custody and remains in Pennsylvania awaiting extradition proceedings.
Anyone with information that could help police in their investigation is asked to contact the Ocean City Police Department’s Detective Bureau by calling (609) 525-9131 or emailing dlancaster@ocnj.us.
