(KRON) — The Vallejo Police Department is asking the public for leads as it investigates the city’s seventh recorded homicide of the year.
VPD said officers were alerted to a shooting at 9:03 a.m. Friday in the 2100 block of Griffin Drive.
Vallejo PD confirmed a man was found at the scene suffering from a gunshot wound and later died at the location, despite the life-saving measures of medics.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are not clear. The victim’s identity is not being released until their next of kin has been notified.
