Parents of child found in West Valley City located, police say criminal investigation underway

UPDATE: The child’s parents have been located according to the West Valley City Police Department. Identifying information has been removed from this article.

Just before 5 p.m., police stated that the child went missing from his home in Taylorsville last night. WVCPD says Taylorsville police have been made aware, and a criminal investigation is underway.

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC4) — The West Valley City Police Department is asking for help locating the parents of a young boy found last night.

According to a post from the police department, a child who they believe to be around 10 years old was found near 2700 S Redwood Road. He was located alone around 9:40 p.m. last night.

Police say that they haven’t been able to find his parents yet. He is being cared for by the Christmas Box House until police can find his family.
