Just before 5 p.m., police stated that the child went missing from his home in Taylorsville last night. WVCPD says Taylorsville police have been made aware, and a criminal investigation is underway.

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC4) — The West Valley City Police Department is asking for help locating the parents of a young boy found last night.

According to a post from the police department, a child who they believe to be around 10 years old was found near 2700 S Redwood Road. He was located alone around 9:40 p.m. last night.

Police say that they haven’t been able to find his parents yet. He is being cared for by the Christmas Box House until police can find his family.

Anyone with information or who might recognize the 10-year-old has been asked to contact the West Valley City Police Department at 801-840-4000.
