According to Utah Fire Info, Pine Valley is now under a mandatory evacuation order.
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — Wildland fire crews are on scene of a new fire burning in Washington County that started Thursday evening.
Utah Fire Info confirms the Forsyth Fire is burning in the Pine Valley area of Washington County. The fire is estimated to be between 50 and 100 acres in size and is burning in a wilderness area.
The fire is currently one and a half miles from the community of Pine Valley. Residents there are on pre-evacuation status and have been told to be ready to go in case a full evacuation order is given.
Multiple aviation and ground resources are on scene to assist. So far, no structures have been threatened, but the fire is being driven by the wind.
