(KRON) — Three people were displaced after a cooking fire that broke out Thursday afternoon outside a San Jose residence, the San Jose Fire Department (SJFD) announced. The fire happened around 12:10 p.m. at a single-story home on the 3300 block of Onslow Way.
The fire started as an outdoor cooking fire with a propane issue, according to SJPD. The blaze spread to the main house, garage and attic.
The fire spread to an adjacent home but only burned its external eaves. The fire is now “under control.”
The fire was knocked down at 12:45 p.m., according to SJFD. The American Red Cross was called to help the three displaced adults.
