Pedestrian hospitalized after being struck by vehicle on Eisenhower Expressway

CHICAGO — A pedestrian is hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle on the Eisenhower Expressway.

The incident happened around 1:47 a.m. Thursday on westbound Interstate 290 and Kostner Avenue.

According to Illinois State Police, troopers responded to the report of a three-unit crash involving a pedestrian. For unknown reasons, ISP said the pedestrian was walking the lanes of traffic when they were struck by a vehicle.

The vehicle then spun out of control and struck a second vehicle.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with injuries. The extent is unknown at this time.

The crash is under investigation. No further details have been provided by ISP.
