PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Oregon State junior AJ Singer has been named the Rawlings Gold Glove winner at second base by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) on Wednesday.
The Glendale, Ariz., native becomes only the third player from OSU to win a Gold Glove, joining both Nick Madrigal (second base, 2017) and Adley Rutschman (catcher, 2019). In the 2024-25 season, he only committed two errors over 247 chances with a .992 fielding percentage.
Singler played in all except one game this year, where he battled .312, hit 10 doubles, three home runs and 39 RBIs. He also helped lead OSU’s defense which ended up finishing with a .980 fielding percentage.
This is the second baseman’s first season with the Beavers after spending two years at Iowa Western Community College where he was a second-team All-American his sophomore season and All-League Defensive Player of the Year as a freshman.
