Man accused of armed robbery, drug possession arrested in St. Bernard Parish

St. BERNARD PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A man wanted by the New Orleans Police Department has been arrested by the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office.

SBSO officials said they arrested 35-year-old Yawn Dubose of Chalmette, who was wanted by the NOPD for an alleged armed robbery.

During the investigation, deputies said they also allegedly seized narcotics, a Taurus TH9 firearm and $3,517.87.

According to SBSO, he will be booked into the St. Bernard Parish Prison on the following charges:

  • Possession with the intent to distribute MDMA (Ecstasy), fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, Tapentadol and marijuana
  • Possession of marijuana THC resin sugar and psilocybin mushrooms
  • Proceeds involving drug transactions
  • Possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance
  • Possession of a controlled dangerous substance while in the presence of persons under 17 years of age
  • Drug paraphernalia.

Dubose’s bond is set at $395,000.
