SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Juneteenth holiday is this week, which means city offices will be closed and a few changes to the normal schedules.
In a publicly released facebook reminder, The City of Shreveport official account reminds citizens that city offices will be closed on Thursday, June 19, 2025, Shreveport.
There will also be no Thursday trash collection on the Juneteenth holiday.
No bulk collections will be scheduled for this week. However, all heavy items called in will be scheduled for a future collection day.
The Woolworth Road Regional Solid Waste Facility will be open on Thursday, June 19.
If you need additional information or would like to request a heavy item (bulk) pick up, you can call the Solid Waste Office at (318) 673-6300.

In addition to trash schedules, the USPS Postal Office will be closed in observance of the holiday.
The Post Office announced on Facebook that they will return to regular business hours on Friday, June 20.
