BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — June 18, 2025 — Louisville-based singer-songwriter Kirsten Peckham will headline an all-ages show this Saturday at the Orbit Room, supported by Bloomington locals Ben Cartha Fowler Project and a stripped-down version of Slug Rug.
The event, organized by Bloomington label Crush Grove, kicks off at 7 p.m., with doors opening an hour earlier. Tickets are $12.
Peckham, known for her soulful vocals, moody storytelling, and offbeat lyrics, will perform with a full band made up of Bloomington musicians, including Crush Grove’s Jared, who also helps run the label.
A multi-instrumentalist, Peckham began her musical journey with classical piano lessons before diving into punk rock. She gained a following as frontwoman and keyboardist for garage-punk band KP&Me, playing a distorted organ through a bass amp to create a uniquely gritty sound. Since moving to Louisville, she’s leaned into more intimate solo work and recently released her second solo album in June 2024—showcasing a matured, full-band sound.
Saturday’s performance marks a return to Bloomington for Peckham, whose evolving style continues to straddle genres with emotional depth and dry wit.
The Orbit Room is located at 107 N College Ave # 1.
